The Hypocrisy of the Left on “Bodily Autonomy”

The left constantly preaches about “bodily autonomy” when it comes to abortion, arguing that a woman has the right to choose what happens to her body. But that argument falls apart when you look at their stance on other issues. If bodily autonomy is absolute, why did they push vaccine mandates, forcing people to get a shot or lose their jobs? Why do they support banning certain foods, guns, or even gas-powered cars “for the greater good,” but claim that killing an unborn child is just a personal choice?

The reality is, their version of bodily autonomy is selective—it only applies when it fits their agenda. They don’t actually believe in personal freedom; they believe in control. When it comes to abortion, they ignore the fact that a second body—the unborn baby—is involved, making the “my body, my choice” argument invalid.

If personal freedom matters, it should be consistent. You can’t demand the right to end a life while denying others the right to protect their own, whether it’s through self-defense, medical choice, or even deciding what kind of car to drive. The left’s hypocrisy on this issue is clear: it’s never been about true freedom, just power.
